I found it x 2

Okay, so I quit my job today... my Part-time job at Ricki's. I figured having just one p/t job wasn't earning me enough money. I was quite worried that I wouldn't get another job in time, but then this morning I got calls from TWO different places to arrange interviews!!

God rocks, He's SO taking care of me :)

I found it!

Yipppeee!!! The apartment is now mine, all MINE! It's just over $400 per month, with all utilities included, and direct access to the laundry room. Boy, this next year will be great. Even the landlord & landlady are super-nice. The Lord doth provide :D
Happy happy joy joy, can't wait to move in. But one step at a time -- first I have to get some money :S I'm totally broke until tomorrow, but I can't spend any of it, because I'll need $150 in my account for when the damage deposit cheque goes through for the apartment.
Oh the curse of the partially-employed....

Stupid car alarms!!!

This is a copy of an email that I sent mom & dad, which highlights the situation perfectly:

So... if your neighbour's vehicle had a car alarm, and it kept going off during the middle of the night (at least 3 times per night, between 2:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.), but you didn't know which of your neighbours it was, what would you do?

Cuz I have gone without a full night's sleep for the last 3 nights because of the aforementioned situation happening to me. I told the Police about it, but they didn't even realize it was against one of Brandon's by-laws!! And since I don't even know who it is, they probably aren't even going to do anything. The lady cop I talked to said that the cops had to be present when it happened in order for them to charge the person, but that's only after they gave them a warning. So, basically I have to go sleepless for another 2 nights in order for this to get solved.

AAAAAAAAAGH I'm so tempted just to go door-to-door and ask people if it's their car and to shut it off during the night. It's more likely to get fixed that way.

The Huntress emerges...

A pale form lurks in the shadows, undetected. She creeps forward, stifling her footsteps as much as humanly possible. She stalks her prey... the ever-elusive....

perfect apartment.

That's right, I'm apartment-hunting now. So far I've found some pretty good-sounding places, but we'll wait and see if they're just as good in person. Don't want to live in a dump for over a year, but the price for all of them is really good.
